My name is John Jedlicka.  I am an engineer and former electrician's tradesman looking for a company to buy and run. 

Over the last 15 years, I have had the opportunity to work for privately-owned and publicly-traded businesses of different sizes in a variety of roles and settings.  These include installing new electric panels in a Missouri residence, integrating a recently acquired business in Asia Pacific, implementing new manufacturing processes in Ohio, managing a global product portfolio of industrial valves in Texas, and leading a team of employees to develop a new product in Europe.  In each experience, I took pride in empowering others to solve critical problems and constantly sought ways to improve. 

I am from St. Louis, MO and grew up in a family that values hard work, integrity, curiosity, and teamwork.  With my experiences and values, I am excited to learn about your business and eager to carry on its legacy.

ABOUT ME

I have always been fascinated with learning how things are made.  When I was three years old, I curiously watched construction workers and imitated each step with my toy tools.  At the age of sixteen, that same curiosity led me to help an electrician installing lights in our basement.  This was the beginning of my six-year journey as an electrician’s tradesman, during which I developed the skillsets needed to solve problems and serve others. 

Upon graduating with an engineering degree from Washington University in St. Louis, I hung up my tool belt to join Emerson, an industrial conglomerate.  During my career with Emerson, I lived in Singapore, Ohio, Missouri, and Texas, working in M&A, Operations, Corporate Strategy, and Product Management. 

With a solid foundation of general management skills, I decided to pursue an MBA at Harvard and to focus on more entrepreneurial goals.  It was during this time that I decided to search for a business to acquire and lead. 

Outside of work, I am a husband and father.  I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and love staying active through pick-up sports and dog park visits.
